Siegmar Fricke started his first musical experiments in 1981 using tape-recorders and shortwave-radio signals to create collages of musique-concrète. Many net releases and tape/CD releases follows since then and nowadays his approach to music is characterized by organic improvisational studies, free form, highly abstract without a trace of conventional.
Siegmar Fricke characterizes his musical works as Pharmakustik which might be a new path of sound-innovation in today's technological music that often lacks the approach of profound sound-experimentations by focusing just on preset-sounds, melodies and familiar song-structures.
Tiefensugestion (deep meditation maybe a translation) starts with the dark and droney subterranean soundscape CAPSULE, the listener enters the bizarre stream of ATMOPALSY, a surrealistic painting of deep/low heartbeat-frequencies and subliminal/sensoric interferences embedded in an organic valley of tristesse. After CONTRACTURE, another anatomic/gliding and atmospheric/cosmic piece with rumbling background-pulsations and reversed galaxies, the central piece TIEFENSUGGESTION abducts the listener into a paradise-world of contrary elements: lightness, illumination, freedom, space...a 15-minute journey into the realms of higher consciousness and positive stimulations. The following piece MINDREFLUX pushes the listener's mind back into a realistic tunnel of retroflexive thoughts flying around in lightspeed. TRAUMSOG finally is a slowmotion-dream that absorbs and abducts the listener to a wide hallucinogenic territory of calmness.
